birthday breakfast

My friend, Heather, is having a birthday this week, so this morning a bunch of us went out for breakfast to celebrate. I couldn't go empty handed (and of course I give handmade) even in the midst of a move. This is what I came up with. Beads compliments of my blogger pals Susan and Amy Jo. Thanks, my friends!

I knit this hat using the knifty knitter. I wrote a whole post about the wonders of the knifty knitter here. The hat that inspired this one is on that post as well. This is just the adult version.

I think I need to go out to breakfast more often. I had eggs benedict and hash browns. (YUM!) It's nice to consume all of your calories for the day in right off the bat. One less thing to worry about today. :)

Great earrings and hat -- good to see you haven't let the move slow you down LOL. And I love your attitude -- get that calorie nonsense out of the way first thing in the morning!

That knifty knitter is the *only* way I can knit.

Cute earrings and hat.

I'm with Sarah. I can't knit, but have used that Knifty Knitter before. I wish I didn't have to :-(

I've wondered about that knifty knitter. It's still real knitting!

Hmmm... looks like a fun way to make a hat. What kind of store sells the knifty knitter? A yarn shop? Target? It looks like a fun break from the usual. The hat's cute as can be.

I have to get ready for the Packer game... live in Green Bay. Where do you live in Wisconsin? It seems as togh I asked you that a long time ago.

PS I love your rented home... it's so lovely and bright. I didn't know you could rent homes that nice. Makes me sound like I've never left Green Bay.

Too cute! I'll bet your friend loved them!
I have to get busy on a knifty knitter hat for J pretty soon before the weather gets really cold and he has no hat for his head. LOL.
(Joni- you can get them at craft stores, and maybe a yarn shop, too.)

That sounds like fun! I love the gifts, especially the hat. It's a pity the rest of the family probably didn't get their calories in this morning too.

Very nice gifts! Those pesky calories, such a nuisance! :)

I love the hat! So pretty:)

That knifty knitter thing looks pretty cool... It still seems like real knitting to me! (Although since I can't seem to motivate myself to learn how to knit in the round, that might be part of the reason I feel that way:)

You make me laugh. All your calories for breakfast? What are eggs benedict anyway?

What beautiful earrings! I'm so glad that you were able to put some of the beads to good use. What a good friend you are.
